We have two divisions to our company -- design/build and cabinetry design and supply.
1) Design/Build takes care of the intricate design and construction details so you don't have to...
Main Street Kitchens' design/build program is a start-to-finish process in which we ask multiple questions, draw up the required plan sets, obtain engineering, and permits, order all relevant materials, co-ordinate orders with the construction schedule, and construct your project.
Our decades of experience will help guide you to some of the best ways to add value to your home, and suggest the right options for your lifestyle. We're knowledgeable on the current trends, and are with you design-wise whether you appreciate contemporary lines or period styling.
We believe in the small touches, such returning your calls and emails promptly, even if it we still need time to research an answer, or arranging for a cleaning service for the areas we worked in for our design/build clients. We've had a lot of experience in knowing what makes a project run smoothly.
It breaks down to the following:
Our clients work with the designers at the design stage, and the project manager during construction. That's it. No missed communication between third parties, no confusion.
A mid-term preliminary keeps the investment range in check:
Our references will vouch for us: we stay within budget. Our mid-stage proposal calculates the "wish list" to keep us all on track.
All materials are finalized:
Our detailed scope of work ranges between 8-15 pages for a typical non-structural remodel, and more than 40 pages for an entire home remodel.
Details are worked through:
Our team has a good eye for a myriad of details, such as designing ceiling crown mold to tie in with cabinetry crown, or changing a door swing so the adjacent doors won't collide ~ details you shouldn't have to worry about both before and after the project starts.
See why we prefer the design/build process in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
2) But I already have a contractor (or I'm a DIY-er)...
Are you a contractor who needs a good cabinet line for your projects? A homeowner who can install the cabinets yourself? Do you need some help with how a kitchen layout will work for your lifestyle, or how the entertainment center will fit all your media needs?
Purchasing cabinets when you have a complex design and pro appliances isn't as simple as it used to be -- it takes specialized knowledge from the person you order from. Not only do you need to know the ins and out of cabinet quality, you need someone to help you design a layout that isn't only functional, but money-saving too. (The most functional designs are often the least expensive.)
We'll help you avoid the common pitfalls of cabinet design and think through the how the appliances interact, and whether your doors are hinged correctly for the best design. After all, our designers are kitchen and bath (and desk and entertainment centers and fireplace cabinet specialists) first.
We have 3 lines of cabinets (Kraftmaid, Hertco, and Crystal) for you to choose from. Our goal is to eliminate possible design mistakes with your order that can affect installation and timelines.
